Check out some of our favorite things about living here:

Work/Life Balance:

Looking for a slower pace of life where you can unwind? You’ll find it here. There’s plenty to do on the water, but it’s also a laid back place to live. The beauty of the lake area is great to live life at a more peaceful pace.

Activities:

Lake Eufaula offers more things than we can even list. From boating and fun activities on the water to hiking, camping, golf at Fountainhead Creek Golf Course, or great local eats like Dobber’s Roadhouse, there’s lots to keep you busy.

Unspoiled Nature:

Natural beauty is one of the most amazing things Lake Eufaula has to offer. Enjoy a nature walk through Belle Starr Park or sit and watch bald eagles flying and hunting around the Dam

Watersports on the Lake:

Love adventure? Get your heart racing with jet skiing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and other sports on the lake. Lake Eufaula boat rentals have you covered if you don’t own your own boat or jetski.

Escape from the Stress of the City:

Lay a blanket by the Dam Overlook, enjoy a good book, or find your zen! We love the pace of life here.

Family-friendly:

Live and work in a place with a strong sense of community and plenty of activities for adults, kids, and your furry friends.

Affordability:

Lake Eufaula is able to offer a peaceful place to live with a lower cost of living than the national average which means an affordable place to call home and more disposable income for play. We call that a win!

State Parks:

Lake Eufaula State Park is a vast 102,000 that’s a fave for families. The Nature Center always has something fun to do with hands-on exhibits to learn more about native wildlife, while the playground is great for entertaining kids. For something more adventurous, the Lake Eufaula Stables offer pony rides, and Hummingbird Beach is home to a free 18-hole disc golf course.

You can also explore Arrowhead State Park for picnic shelters, playgrounds, trails, a mini golf course, swimming area, equestrian stables and mountain bike trails! There are countless other parks in the area as well.

Fishing, Fishing, and Fishing:

Catch your limit of crappie, perch, bass, walleye, bluegill, sunfish, or catfish in the Lake Eufaula waters, or check out the annual fishing tourney! Anglers come from all over to check out the amazing fishing in these waters.

Natural Beauty:

Catch an amazing sunset for an Instagram post, or enjoy it real time with someone special. Walk around the miles of shoreline, or go hiking and look for local wildlife. There’s no shortage of beauty in the area.

Camping:

Take your tent or RV to one of the Corps of Engineer campgrounds or local parks. If glamping is more your thing, you can rent cabins, specialty hotels….or yurts on the lake!

Hiking:

Get moving! Hike one of the many trails in the area to get the blood pumping and check out some of the amazing scenery in the area. Maybe even run into some local wildlife like deer, cottontail, squirrels, or even wild turkeys!

Horseback Riding:

Check out one of the local stables and go for a tour on horseback! Arrowhead Riding Stables offers guided tours while Robbers Cave Stables offers pony outings, carriage rides, and more!

Biking:

Chinkapin Trail, Hummingbird Beach Trail, Crazy Snake Trail, and Arrowmaker Trail are great trails to explore and get some exercise. Ride through the woods, along the shore, or through the grasslands to check out the area and wildlife.

ATV Riding:

Grab your ATV and head to the Lake Eufaula Dam ORV area which is open year round! Find miles of trails to explore and enjoy the thrill of the sand, the woods, and the river.

If you aren’t busy with outdoor activities and lake life, there’s also plenty to do in the area all year long! Lake Eufaula has a lot of events throughout the year, including the Wine and Art Festival and Barktoberfest in October, Whole Hawg Days Festival in June, the Independence Day celebrations in July, and the Lighted Boat Parade in December. The area offers even more throughout the year!
